About HMB
HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate) is a metabolite of the amino acid leucine. It is naturally produced in the human body in small amounts. HMB is often used as a dietary supplement to increase muscle mass, decrease muscle breakdown, and improve exercise performance. It is available in two forms: HMB-Ca (calcium salt) and HMB-FA (free acid).
